  • Ron Chicken is a partner in the firm’s civil litigation and alternate dispute resolution divisions. Primarily he focuses on business litigation and real estate related litigation, but his legal interests are as wide as his clients’ needs, as he is always eager to help serve those seeking sound legal counsel. Whether it is a small personal matter or a larger corporate dispute, Ron and the legal team at Chicken Law are ready to help.

    A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, Ron served as an editor on the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and was a member of several of Georgia Law’s Moot Court teams. One of his teams was invited to the International Chamber of Commerce pre-moot in Paris, France, prior to competing in Vienna, Austria in the Wilhelm C. Vis International Arbitration Moot competition. Ron’s team tied for fifth out of 311 teams and was the highest ranked U.S. team.

    During law school, he interned with Judge Elizabeth L. Branch of the Court of Appeals of Georgia and with Judge Timothy C. Batten Sr. at the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Georgia.

    Ron is admitted to practice in all Georgia Courts, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

    Additional Information:

    Ron is a certified mediator and arbitrator with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution. In addition to his law degree, Ron holds a master’s degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and served as a pastor for several years prior to law school.

    When Ron is away from the office, and not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, two dogs and of course cheering on the Bulldogs with their family and friends.

  • Margaret Anne Christie serves as a Partner with the firm. She graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University and earned her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. Margaret provides advice and counsel to help clients solve their most complex and challenging legal problems. She primarily focuses her practice on family law, criminal law, and civil litigation. Margaret is committed to maintaining a high level of communication with her clients. She takes the time to truly involve her clients and incorporate their goals, concerns, and values at every stage of their case.

    Prior to joining Ronald F. Chicken and Associates, LLC, Margaret was a partner at Fox Chandler in Gainesville, Georgia. During law school, Margaret interned with the Office of the Executive Counsel for Governor Nathan Deal and with Superior Court Judge Lawton Stephens in Athens-Clarke County.

    In her spare time, she likes to volunteer, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with her husband, Zach, and her dog, Athena.
